Blowing Bubbles, floating, gliding...
As a child I'd run and play
Baseball with pals, then on my way
Skates: I'd sail down the drive
Into a traffic ridden street I'd dive
Almost, but turned quickly around
To the throb of drivers abound
Some so sure they'd run me down
A quick spin around and a frown
Oh, I was a kid who knew dreams
They were my boyhood schemes
To steal bases like Tiger, Jake Wood
The home runs, Mickey Mantle could
Claim my heart, as I grew and grew
Just didn't know, in life what to do
A teacher I thought, I wanted to be
Then, thought children didn't like me
Then it came to college I went
Unhappy and blue, not heaven sent
Received good grades sometimes
But the future had pulled the blinds
Now I look back and realize even though
For someone so poor, I came to know
There is a great being up above to feel
It's my heart a spirit finally did heal
With His soul I came to know a love
Bottle of dreams colored bubbles above
Floating in the air, drifting free and rare
It is His love, that we all must share
As a child, I found him speaking my name
The man upstairs, my dear claim to fame!
As the colored bubbles float freely in the air
Drifing, gliding, floating, riding
He is always my friend abiding
Blowing bubbles as a child, so young
The heart of Jesus is the love I won!
Free spirit drifting, healing with His care
Floating, gliding, spirit being's do share!
