She Just Couldn't Be Mine

Who is she, the lady at the door?
Standing, waiting the one I adore
My buddy was her choice I knew
She'd never choose me, I so blue
The color of the sky, I dream!
When she said yes, now we're a team!

Always there pretty, at the door
Citadel of love I do adore
In her glory, she gives me success
To be her man and mate, nothing less
We join together in love with a song
Blue birds and robins sing on our lawn!

As I open the door to our found dream
In love's touch, two hearts do beam
I once thought she couldn't be mine
Always at my door her love I find
For when the winter cold is born
She's the heat that keeps me warm!

A Real Sweet Write!

This is such a gentle piece. I love how you introduce the Robin and Blue bird. I love the nature aspect to it, and more of my writing is beggining to draw on these things aswell.

This is really cute, and sweet for your girl. I like the way you add the blue bird and the robins, it's a smooth transition, very nice!
