At Sea (1)
I watch the moon sneak into sheets of cloud
And here on a metal plate is a mad crowd
Lighting torches for a future century
Yet, we all fly the flag of a distant country.
So, I watch the western moon stray away
At the coming of the first shine, of sunray;
The fishes and the waves are witnesses
To this heavenly acts, to this suddenness.
