Many years have past since the assassination.
Yet all folks talk about is some kind of reparation.

The very night of his death you defeated the purpose.
With burnings and rioting like something out of the circus.

What happened to his dream of love and peace for all races.
When you ran around targeting people with white faces.

It’s time to except responsibility for your actions on that night.
Because the guilt within your own race is the hardest one to fight.

Someone should have stood up and called for the violence to cease.
And remembered the words of a great man saying, this is a time for peace.
