These things I would remember
so far and yet so near
wrapped in light's bright memories
and places often feared
for love's not often easy
though causes us to flow
and takes us back so gently
where lovers wish to go

To some seem so forbidden
this elementary thing
which causes all the good in life
and nudges hearts to sing
the songs of life we feel we must
forever hold inside
and offers fantasies fulfilled
in dreams you once were mine

which brought to mind such thoughts of you
those lips I wish to taste

I remember big green eyes
which stared so open then
forgiving thoughts I held in mind
and wiped away the sin
of wanting one so desperately
in passion to embrace
to feel the ecstacy of you
sweet sweat upon my face

In tender sharing of ourselves
love's most treasured prize
so lost forever in your voice
which issued softened sighs
and filled my world with music
while drowning in your eyes
to think for just one moment
laying open in the sun
that even if it's make believe
to feel that we were one
