FOREVER IN YOUR ARMS

So softly I remember walking
through Minnesota dreams
my mind not resting easily
yet still so full of schemes
to find the life I gave away
in distant memories past
of trucker stops and Peterbilts
and love thats gone too fast

Would our worlds be free instead
as mornings on some open road
when nights were spent in long embrace
as seen so long ago
when all of life was clear blue skies
and if I would compare
never did seem quite as blue
as the blue within your eyes

Ever hold me close in memory
that silently alarms
hoping time be ever wasted
FOREVER IN YOUR ARMS
