I remember do you?
I remember do you?
double rainbows a child's voice shouts look out here
the joy at the full moon high tide splashing over the pier
watching the waves crashing over the top sounds of life not fear
you forgot to remember those times in your letter my dear
you remembered the tough times the moments of discomfort
the loads of laundry the cooking the times of bad judgement
the complaints the bad moods the lack of control and space
I remember the smells the sounds and the beauty of that place
how great the food was the laughter the long walks
the hitch hiking lizard the amazing flowers picking a rose
the sea creatures the shells the sand the beaches the roads
picking an apple off a tree pastures so green crossing a stream
the ancient town square the fresh produce the farm feeling safe
walking arm in arm but now all you remember are the terms and
conditions that did not meet you approval and all the rules and what
we did not do or did do to you and how it must be Gods will to keep us
apart lonely and cold in the darkness of your heart I don't remember
this as part of the plan I want to again walk hand in hand and trust
that this is what He wants for us...at least some salsa fixin's

reaching
I may not be where you were with this but it gave me a sence of reaching out and hope for what may never be.I liked it alot
Delayed reaction
Your interpretation of this piece is right on the dot. It was written with the intention of reaching out
with a glimmer of hope for reconciliation. It was a free flowing memory of a recent family trip.
The different perspectives all rolled into to one....trying to show the humor of it all.
After reading the blog exchanges on Pete's Blog this week I realize how important it is to comment
and reply. Thank You ! I always enjoy reading you.
