Memories of Spring
We pause and embrace,
With long stories, at least.
Weaving notes upon dark lines and spaces,
Under breezes of snow,
With azaleas of cold.
A walk together under crisp and gentle string,
A world of mist with shimmering silk in gleam.
Dreams in whisper cleansing all toils and haste,
Rushing veins for your elegant fingers to tame.
And for the two of us,
Enjoying the reunion
That locks the ribbon in greens of heart and skin.
Dazzling feathers over weathered stones,
How I delight in your blushing gown.
Long have I forgot the songs
Of vibrant passion,
That has lit our nights
With brilliant sparks of silver,
As glittering flows among pink and purple fountains
Which now fills our glass
With honeyed tears from distance and time.
But now I’ve embarked once more.
Leaving your love
Of songs and dances, or tender warmth beyond
For another year
To pass.
