I Dream A World
I dream a world,
Where people see who I am
And not the person I pretend to be.
They understand what one goes through,
They don't judge or critize you.
One does not catergorize,
Or put one in groups,
But instead they embrace the friendship
And allow you to be you.
Popularity and coolness doesn't exist,
And the way your hair is fixed isn't as important.
It doesn't matter how much money you have,
Or what part of town in which you live.
All that matters is the name you make for youself.
I dream a world,
In which time doesn't exist.
Days pass by and people never notice.
They are caught up in the moment
And cherish life for what it's worth.
The stress of life and business
Sink away and disappear.
Dimensions unseen are where you're time goes.
One minute your rushing,
But then you stop and take the time
To look inside a stranger's eyes
And take a moment to walk in their shoes,
See the life that they live.
Not worrying about certain destinations
But in that moment the only thing that matters is
That time, that place.
I dream a world,
In which my dreams were not dreams at all.
Reality is what I choose them to be.
Not something thought up and kept inside my head,
But something, I work to get done and achieve
With a drive and determination
Unlike any other.
Dreaming dreams where no dreams
Have been dared to dream before.
In this I dream a dream
Never before dreamed by even the greatest dreamers.
I dream of peace
Like the tranquility of a summer breeze.
Rushing through your hair while standing on an ocean beach.
I dream a world,
In which these things are true.
Insistently inserting instances in intertwining harmony
I dream these things not for myself,
But for the sake of others so the world can be a better place.
I wish these things
But this is not the world in which we live,
And such the dreams remain
Captive in my mind.
In which they abide never to be set free,
Unless by certain mistake,
Someone gets inside of me and pulls out all the things
I've kept secret for so long
And sees the me that this outer shell
Does not reveal.
The side of me only shown when you get to know,
And understand the feelings that I feel.
The dreams I have
And see the real me.
I wish this dream for everyone
Of such I dream-our world.
