Safely Home
Safely home
Where is home?
Safe inside His arms.
Who's arms?
Jesus'
Why?
Because He's brought me,
Safely home.
Safely within His reach,
Wrapped up in His arms.
Underneath is His unfailing love.
A peace I can't describe.
A push of feeling,
The joy of seeing,
My Savior's face.
I didn't know
Anything about God's glory
Until I felt it on my face.
This grace has brought me
Safely home.
Set the chains free,
Restore me.
You've bound me within,
Don't hold on to false pride,
Satan, step aside
Because you no longer own me.
You cannot destroy me.
Once I'm
Safely home.
You gave me wings
Now I'm gonna fly.
The road was sometimes
Dark, cold, and weary.
Then I saw the valley
And you standing there
Amongst a blue sea,
A plain full of lilies,
Completely surrounded.
You softly whispered my name.
I knew that you were calling me in.
You brought me
Safely home.
Standing here before you
I can't help but let the tears flow.
This place is so pretty,
White gates so pearly.
Golden streets the color of honey.
An ocean of crystal blue.
I bow before your feet now,
Look into your eyes.
Up in Heaven,
Your not going to cry
But I can't help it.
Tears flood my eyes.
As you reach out to hold me,
I notice the piercings
Of two nail scarred hands.
A crown is placed on my head.
A silken robe of satin,
And a mansion for keeping.
As He looked in my eyes
He said with a smile,
"Child, you've seen much,
Dealt with many hardships
And now it will pay off.
Now you're safely home.
Child, welcome home."
I'm safely home.

For all it's worth...
Hope.
Faith.
All we need to get by.
