My faith, the sea

Left drifting away as the coast dissipates, sitting on these lifeless waves remembering all the friends they’ve taken. I want to stop wondering where you are, but it’s the only hope I have when everything else is so far, so far away. The sun won’t remain for long and clouds will smother the moon, stars are already dead and the earth is out of tune. The sea she is consistent, unscathed beneath the surface, she’ll carry me where I belong and beg to give me purpose.
