Duvet Day
Go on, you deserve it,
You’ve had a stressful night,
Have a day in the duvet,
And perhaps a pillow-fight!
But if you do be careful
As feathers can catch your eye
And then the day will spoil,
Ruined with a gloomy sigh.
Go on, you deserve it,
Wrap yourself up tight,
Smother yourself in comfort,
Like in clouds of blissful delight;
A warm, pleasant feeling
Will leave you all aglow
As you bury your busy head
In the softest white pillow.
Don’t worry about the home,
Leave the chores for another day,
No point in getting more anxious
Frayed nerves we must allay
So, keep inside that cocoon
Of comfort, relish every minute,
Enjoy a day in the duvet
Go on, you deserve it…

duvet day
Enjoyable poem, and good advice as well. I might follow that advice, if it weren't so warm outside. Makes the duvet seem less inviting. Take care.
:-)
Maybe you will leave the window open?
