Imagine That
Sir LANCELOT from Camelot
Had 6 WHITE ROSES in his hand
Searching for a Princess
Yes the fairest in the Land.
He came across a WILLOW tree
Beside a babbling brook,
And suddenly a SCARYSQUIRREL
Sprung out to have a look.
A fearful frown and snarling teeth
Startled his sturdy steed
Which toppled this brave Knight
Into a boggy, nettle filled mead.
Such a TORTURED SOUL was he
From the pains of that perilous fall,
And those flowers were utterly ruined
In the midst of his ungainly sprawl.
Recovering his composure
He climbed up to his feet
And, to his great surprise
He saw a creature so sweet -
A little SENSUAL BUTTERFLY
Sunning herself on a flower,
“What a beautiful thing” thought he,
“My love on it I shall shower.”
And so he bent down beside
Her fragile, trembling form
But, alas, it flew far away,
Ne’er to feel his hand so warm.
“Oh no,” said he in the saddest tone,
“I must be a VICTIM OF LOVE”,
“I always scare nice things away,
Is it fated from above?”
And so, this Knight and his sturdy steed
Rode back to fair Camelot,
With feelings of dark melancholy
About the Princess he never got…
