Looking Through Windows
Looking through windows
We see sunshine and rain,
Corporeal windows reveal
Feelings of pleasure or pain.
Black stormy clouds
Lash rain on each pane;
A gloomy period produces
Another mascara stain.
Looking through windows
A Boy does longingly see
A shiny toy to enjoy,
Not just momentarily.
That Boy, now a Man
Reminisces of Childhood Days
When Imagination’s Window
Gave moments of sweet praise.
Looking through windows
A Clown sees others looking in,
Shouting for more laughter
From that painted-on grin.
Life’s pressures try to erase
That pretentious smile,
Yet, he puts on a brave face,
A quite jovial profile.
Looking through windows
A honeymooning couple clearly see
A World of New Horizons
On their special train journey
Loving messages are written,
As the condensation allows,
Causing affectionate feelings
All the more to arouse.
Looking through windows
In Life, ones can’t help but agree
That, as each day unfolds
There’s so much for all to see!
