Pregnant Thoughts
Sometimes you can’t avoid
Contracting this good disease,
It invades the whole body
But gets better by degrees!
Sometimes the hottest fever
Burns an anxious brow
Until the newest “creation”
Comes to birth somehow.
Yet, oh what great joy
When, at last it springs to life;
So emotional a release that
You can cut the air with a knife.
From the womb of the mind
Those fertile seeds of thought
Grew, and did truly flourish
From nothing, to such import
That, now you are so proud
To be the Father of a “child”;
A result of inner turmoil
From one so meek and mild.
How pleased you will be
After such sweat and tears,
To look at it time and again
Over many joyful years.

I loved this poetmaster!
I often forget that dads can love their kids as much as mums.....I guess I wrongly assume sometimes that men dont give a damn due to the fact my baby's dad doesnt wanna know.....this write was a nice reminder for me that good guys are still out there and not every man is a loser like my ex......thanks for the write, it was an emotional read for me.....peace.
