When Left Can Be Right

We are in good company
We of the “sinister” hand;
More and more famous people
Are joining this growing band.

Leonardo Da Vinci
Was The Master of his arts;
In the court of Europe’s Kings
His genius moved their hearts.

Mark Twain, the satirist
Left us with Huckleberry Finn;
A heart warming childhood story
Which our hearts did truly win.

H.G.Wells gave us Science Fiction
In the form of “The Time Machine”,
A futuristic gloomy prediction
Of where Mankind might be seen.

Henry Ford was in the forefront
Of technology of his time;
Because of his determination
A car can now be yours and mine.

Cary Grant was so suave,
A gentleman of the silver screen;
The very best that the director
Hitchcock had even seen.

Paul McCartney with the Beatles
Used his left hand so well
To delight those at the “The Cavern”
With their magical musical spell.

Now then, Mr McEnroe
During his youthful years
Made such use of his racquet
He gained victory’s sweet tears.

And yes, I could carry on
Making a long list so grand,
Praising more and more of those
Who’s made great use of a left hand.

So, there’s something special
To be gained from we who use
Our left hand of invention
To inspire, or uplift, or amuse.

I enjoyed this one!

They say that left handed people use a part of the brain that righty's don't. Must be why so many geniuses were left handed. Thanks for a very good poem.
