Unexpected Sun

Sitting at my computer.

Waiting for the dawn as I peeked and poked.

But I am out of position.

And the rays have come to soon.

And the liquid mirror throws up shards of reflected glory before I can draw the blinds

In the cool dazzle of the after math

I wait until the moment has passed

and my liquid mirror

calm and peaceful as a sleeping child

reflects again the familiar

and I can again gaze without wonder

On a sleeping world.
