hey my name's Brianna. I'm hoping to make a few friends on here who like poetry and writing poetry as much as i do! =D
the stuff i write are songs...which is kinda the same thing as poetry.
here's a poem i write a couple of months ago. i probably have like...50 songs so i'm gonna post a few of them over time so i don't overwhelm myself or anyone who's gonna be reading 'em. I am a Christian and write Christian songs...so if you don't like that well...then you don't have to read them.

Reason For The Scars

verse 1: look at me! despise me! hate me for who i really am.
no more talking. stop this faking just give me the knife and i'll end me.
i look down at my wrists...full of self-inflicted wounds.
the harder my life gets, the deeper they become.

CHORUS: this is the reason for the scars. i can feel them cover me now.
no, no regrets! it's time to end this!
it's a mystery that I'm still alive, when for so long I've wanted to die.
but as long as Your arms remain open. maybe I'll change my mind.

verse 2: as i cut deeper! You speak louder! You say there's a better way to live.
I shut You out. for the reason. that i don't want You running my life.
but I'm running out of time. are You everything You say You are?. 'cuz I need a reliable friend. other than knifes, needles, and lies that don't end
