WINDS OF INFINITY

as sands of time erode into yesterday
and memories fade into lost oblivion
i walk in greener grass than before
my toes not nearly so sensitive.
thousand year old waves rolling ever rolling
taking bits of me with it to the sea,
call to me in whispers of near silent pleadings
of what never was or what used to be.
the stars never cease in their amazement
of being there in the same place as ever
continuing their shining and twinkling
like sheep never straying from the shepherd.
the sands of time ever go on rolling in and out
as the pages of a calendar being blown from
page to page by undying winds of infinity.
