On A Clear Day
On a clear day
you can see the Golden Gate from here
On a clear day
On a clear day
On a clear day, I wouldn't be here
What's a clear day anyway?
I want to climb those orange towers,
pull back those cables
And launch myself...
Hit the ground sonewhere near Dallas.
On a clear day
all my thoughts in order...
linear again
All-American
The conventional way
On a clear day.
But,
The wind blows steady across the Bay,
The dust of the Mission,
The Tenderloin's swill
Gets stacked like cheap novels
Against Berkeley Hills.
And the sun setting off t'wards San Rafael
May never comeback,
I heard it say,
To a Clear Day.
