DO YOU BELONG?

I fear you do not belong with me.
Today I am floating;
in your mind and heart.
Time only knows if we will ever part.
What would you do if I really were not there with you?

I fear you do not belong with me.
Fate will lead you yonder.
And make you subservient to its course.
Your strength and devotion to me,
Flowing gradually into emptiness.

Can you not control the stars,
and all that belong with it?
Will you choose to be elsewhere?
To make life out of yours?
OR, do you dare defy,
what is truly written on the palms of your hands?
For, destiny unfolds to what you rightfully deserve.
For I fear, once again, that you do not belong with me.
