Wind on the Water

The feeling of flying,
With the wind in your face,
Flowing through your hair.
The sea spraying your body like warm rain.
Always falling.
The colors of the world opening to your eyes,
The different blues forming the lines between the sea
And the sky.
You feel like freezing time,
To stay in this spot.
But that's not the way it works.

Storms come,
Making the gentle winds cutting blades.
Swirling in utter madness.
Lighting splits open the sky,
Darkening it black.
Waves fly higher than houses,
Breaking down upon you.

But suddenly a light would shine in the dying waves and sky.
You start towards it blindly.
The sky appears,
Somehow brighter in the dark,
And the sea is once again calm.
You sit down for a moment,
Just to enjoy the sky,
The sea,
Your life.

I like how you worded this, it is beautifully descriptive the images seem to transcend. raskin
