TAKES ME BACK TO WHEN I WAS A KID - I LOVED COTTON CANDY!

It's still good

even if your not a kid, I love watching the airy strands of sugar being caught then eating them when they are still warm. Thanks for reading and leaving a comment. raskin

Raskin....

I can actually taste it from your poem. I feel all sticky....

Please... bring me a candy apple too?
Nice job, you are really good at these. I had no doubt you would be.
Linda

thanks

these are my first attempts at haiku, it is interesting to try to convey an idea in a limited number of syllables. Very concise way of writing. raskin

Good Piece

Enjoyed this raskin, good Haiku,
Dave

thanks

for commenting, I'm just trying this out for fun. raskin

I loved it as a kid

Evelyn,

I'm not so sure that I would find as fun and satisfying now that I'm an old poop. I see that we are both trying our hand at haiku. I have a couple of new ones that I will be posting. Perhaps you will check them out and give me your unbiased assessment.

Nicely done,

Frederico

I think it is

fascinating, Fred to watch the sugar spun into the cotton candy. raskin

nice...

I'm impressed at how you managed to describe cotton candy in three short lines....did you know that in Ireland we call cotton candy....candy floss...its true,lol...peace.

thank you

I didn't know that, I think by any name it is fun to eat. raskin

the joy of brevity!

Very nice, raskin. Like your images. It is such a beautiful, delicate confection that, for just that, it is worthy of a poem! Your alliteration, as usual, adds a lot.

thanks joyce

for your kind comments. These were fun to write. raskin

delicious

What! You didn't get it all over your face?! Good memories...

oh

at one point in my life it was probably all over my face and my hair. I'm neater now when I eat it. raskin

Cotton Candy will always be

Cotton Candy will always be my favorite, even as an adult.

what's not to love

there was a point in my life when I looked at a big bunch of cotton candy and thought to myself I bet that would make a great wig, not a good idea. raskin
