Eyes of the Dragon

I sat on the grass knoll not a tree in sight,
entranced, as the soil expanded then contracted.
I was bewildered as I watched what looked like
inspiration and exhalation through the very pores
of the earth, a vapor escaped at intervals.
I knew I needed a closer look, call it curiosity,
the need to see, I was drawn in by the spectacle.
The earth seemed to ripple, dust puffed up,
I spied a glistening, the closer I came in
I realized the vapor glittered up into the sky,
I watched charmed by the sight.
The earth started to flex, soil began to flake off
the knoll above me, I felt the breath
as I turned to look at the most amazing vision,
the eyes of the dragon looking in mine.
I was spellbound.

Here's My Take

Raskin,

If that was me at that impromptu meeting I do believe that I was have some of Schidt's product in my britches and be saying "Feets, don't fail me now".

Pete
