garden scents
Stepping out into my garden
lightly brushing my hand
against the lavender
releasing the fragrance
allowing it to float to my nose
I inhale it
absorbing the scent
I do this again
with the lemon balm
the chocolate mint
these odors float
with me
surround me
stick to my skin
my perfume

i love this poem. i love softly grabbing all the herbs with my hands over and over! my favorites are rosemary and mint and thyme! enjoy!
