The questions may be the same
but it seems each generation ponders
adapting the answer to their time.
Looking at the stars with wonder,
what if I could put my hand up
touching one?
Watching a torrent of water
marveling at the power.
Seeing lightening streak out of a cloud
thinking what if.
All new things may be old
but we can rest assured
it is how we hold hands
through time, connecting
to our ancestors and descendants.
