On the bank of a creek
I sat in the soft grass,
setting my hand down
I caressed the leaves,
feeling the softness,
I shut my eyes.
The stream ran, gurgled
over rocks, along the banks
running fast, going somewhere.
I listened with my eyes closed
breathing in the scents
of grass, water, soil intermingling.
I felt myself float within
the sensations, a timeless moment.

It's nice to think of the beauty in the world, sometimes it's nice to get lost in it. I'm glad you enjoyed reading this. raskin
Ah, A Moment's Solitude
Raskin,
I believe we are all looking for those few moments when all is right in your immediate world and the sounds and smells converge to make the moment magical. Sad to think thaey are so few.
Pete
yes that is true
but I do like to reach back at times into my memory and retrive those moments when I need them most, it brings me peace at a time that is important. Thank you for reading and commenting. I'm glad you read the whole experience. I like to savor the experience, I guess that's what life is about. raskin
