Quiet with the embers
What is it about embers?
They seem to glow so silently,
quiet, pulsing with life, still,
conserving the fuel,
continuing to live,
there is a resiliency.
Embers take a long time
to die. It seems to me
smoldering is the point
until the situation is
right again.
I can understand
why the spirit, soul, passion
are equated to embers.
Sometimes, I think conditions
are right for their formation,
continuation, remaining hidden,
camouflaged, conserving the fuel.
At times the surroundings
change, a slight breeze,
another piece of wood,
then the sparks fly up
the fire rises, flames,
heat, light, movement,
life, it's all there.

Another great poem raskin
I loved this one raskin it is very theraputic to watch a fires embers first dying down then coming back to life again,
I could just picture the scene with your poem and if it were me I would of fallen asleep by it well written from Willow
yes, thank you
open fires promote daydreaming I think, quiet reflection. raskin
