The light flicks on,
my hand raises up into the light,
a dog appears on the wall,
barking.
Suddenly,
next to the dog
an ostrich slowly rises,
to full height,
looking down on the barking dog.
Hush!
The ostrich says to the dog.
I raise my foot into the light,
wiggle my toes,
they become a caterpillar
on the wall.
The ostrich and the dog turn to look
at the caterpillar wiggling.
I decide to raise my
other foot into play.
My big toe becomes a
beetle to keep the caterpillar company.
They wiggle together.
Oh, oh, the ostrich is really interested
in what is going on.
Those dancing bugs.
Yikes, the ostrich gobbles down
the beetle.
Ouch!
