The right time
I have diabolic thinking today,
it's running,
running,
my imagination.
I take off soaring high,
scraping the clouds,
skimming the base,
feeling the fluffiness.
Screaming in the sky
at all that lies below,
flying in arcs and spirals,
waiting for the right time,
the right prey
to sink my talons into.
Ah well, guess I better
clean the kitchen.

Put a smile on my face.
I have to admit, this put a smile on my face - I could definitely relate. In particular, I felt there was a rawness to the images language which tied in well with the "Diabolic" sense.I enjoyed that. Really good!

Clean the kitchen...yes I understand and I like the mixed images
and the undertone that creates both conflict and humor in
the mind of the reader: Hungry, no doubt and time to eat, or
thoughts of something more spiritual and airy as you fly in
a barrage of thoughts, and then reality sinks in and the
kitchen is waiting: your prey to sink your talons into, baked
chicken perhaps, or food for thought as you soar back to earth!
Your spirit is seeking and searching and a funny thing happened
on the way to the kitchen... No doubt!

I always have to come out of the clouds, it was fun to write about it. I was thinking about this cartoon of calvin and hobbes, calvin was pretending to be an eagle to wake up his Dad. It struck me as funny, I was playing around with that all day in my mind and this is what came out. raskin
