Meandering with my thoughts as I do
I heard his goodbye
but I stopped
thought
for a moment then another
I hadn't heard his
hello
a puzzle of words and verse
occupied my mind
fitting together
emotions
still I wondered about that
how was it goodbye
before there was
a hello
I had heard the goodbye
years ago maybe it
still echoed to me
after all this
time,
still,
wait.
