Wandering in the Wilderness

Sent out into the wilderness
wandering,
without clear direction
snow pelts me
surrounding me
blinding.
Feeling more than seeing
my way through
I start to feel cocooned,
comforted
within the storm.
I have a sense of a hollow
in the snow
I tuck myself in
pulling up into a ball
watching the snow come down.
The flakes are so big
rushing in all directions all at once,
lulled and cozy in my snow cave
I sleep
dreaming of one day stepping out
of the wilderness.
