Ruby Beach
Salt-rimmed sea stacks covered in Ponderosa Pine,
sun-drenched cedars lay on zephyr blown sands.
Seagulls soar off when Rhododendron leaves rustle;
sand pipers run when the tide surges higher.
When the sun casts off rocks, the shore will turn crimson.
With backlighting blue sea, the marine air will swirl colder.
Destruction Island will appear so much further.
A simple light beckons its pose in the sea.
