Our past erased by hunger and greed
The soil now tainted with a devilish seed

The building falls with a debris of tears
What weather and time could not do over the years

A celebration of new, a sterile design
Pillars of blight stand in a line

Out with the old, in with the new
Vertical horizons obscuring our view

Wilderness, nature, landmarks wiped clean
In the name of progress, and a new kind of green
