My sweet heart came to me today with tears in her sparkly eyes.
I kissed her face and asked what naughty thing made her cry.
She looked at me and I felt a way, I never felt before.
I gently squeezed her face with love and shut the kitchen door.
I sat her on the sofa, and went down on my knees.
She looked at me that way again, and said ''Mama please!''
My heart was so full up with pain cuz she'd scratched her arm outside.
I hate to see her hurt like that, my little life, my pride.
I opened up the medicine bag and fetched an animated plaster.
She held her arm and asked me to get it sorted faster.
So I put it on with care and showered her with praise
Told her how brave she was and she soon forgot her graze.
She was especially sweet today, and I felt slightly sick.
I thought about the day we'd part and tried to forget it quick!
My little lady growing up, it scares the life of me
The thought of loss is freaky, every parent would agree.
The little things she does and the way she eats and sleeps.
Imagining life without her, gives me the ultimate creeps.
