A strange poem for me to write called 'Imagine that' here goes...

Imagine if we all looked alike,
no different names or races!
Every land had the same weather,
and no tears on anyones faces.

Imagine if we all ate one type of food,
and tea and coffee didn't exist.
Or what if there were no animals.
No rain or snow or mist.

Imagine money had no gain.
Every one all felt the same.
No one ever felt any pain.
Wouldn't that be totally insane?

Hehehe, imagine all men cooked,
while the women just looked,
Men gave birth and lactated,
had to do it, even if they hated it.

Imagine we shrunk instead of grow.
How men would give birth, I'd rather not know.
Our kids would have to bend to switch off the light,
wouldn't that be an interesting sight?

Imagine we were colorless, translucent and bald.
We couldn't walk, but we could roll and could crawl.
Imagine we didn't know we could sing,
all the joy and relief it would bring.

But an even stranger thought,
imagine if our world never fought.
Imagine if our leaders could lead,
But that's too unrealistic, and crazy indeed.
Imagine that, a free land and free voice,
a free way of life and a free choice

You must think I'm crazy to think of such things,
I might as well think of a frog that beautifully sings.
Oh well, it was just a thought I guess,
nothing more and nothing less,
as if any of those things could ever be,
science wouldn't allow it, neither would He.

Very good

this is great just imagine if you has been fully awake.lol.

hehehe....

thanks Gloria, if I was awake, maybe it woudnt be as good,lol....peace.

Great!

I like this Rp, really like it. It has humour in parts but an underlying serious tone. I also like the jump from stanza three to four which takes your mind to a new level. Interesting thoughts from an interesting soul.

Excellent work.

BRAVO

Repenter,

You have created a wonderful piece here that poses so many interesting questions that we all know were highly rhetorical for there really is no immediate answer to any of them. I seriously enjoyed this read.

Pete

PS: You have been immortalized in my piece called "A Brief Peek Inside the Showcase", I hope you don't mind.

Thank you Pete.....

thats what I was aiming for.....a list of scenarios with images, Im chuffed u liked it....appreciate the read and comment, peace.

outstanding!

Definately the best read for some time. Echoes of John Lennon's "Imagine". After all, the sentiments are what any sane person longs for. I like how you mix in some humour, it tempers the serious parts. Yep, if men had children wouldn't that be something! Women deserve a medal for all that they go through. Look forward to more of the same.

poetmaster....

your comment lifted my spirits today....I seriously appreciate your kind words and yeah, I'd love a medal for what I went through but a break would be even better, lol....peace.
