Yet another poem for my 'sweet cheeks'(daughter)
There you are, a breathing jewel,
My honor,the sweetest gift.
My heart is is a motor, and your kisses are fuel,
that make my hurt and anger shift.
You my love, are not like any other,
and you're a cure sent down to heal,
and though those are the words of any mother,
that's just simply how I feel.
When I'm lonely or pain does grow
You look at me that way.
And then I know, my pain will go
As I'll have you at the end of the day.
Stay safe my petal, don't allow your head to sway.
keep it high and you and I, we'll be forever gay.

Precious!
Daughters are a complete package! Just when you think your exasperated, she can make you smile. LOL---I remember when "gay" only meant "happy!" I've hesitated to use the word when it would help me rhyme thinking my message might be misunderstood. Delightful poem!

Gay.....
we often forget the innocence of this word.....sadly people including myself, have been hesitant in using this word to express happy times and comfort in our writing, so sad eh?...for such a happy word it has become one we use so carefully....thanks 4 the comment and encouraging words...peace.
