The gown of plenty
You wear the gown of plenty
it accentuates you well
Indeed it mirrors your inner soul
of that can you not tell
Come disrobe and bare your love
and rid yourself of schemes
For I shall ever be discreet
and never steal your dreams
And if you should abandon me
upon the bridge of sighs
Before I savour all of thee
with body soul and eyes
My scars shall heal to absolute
My soul a warmer hue
For I have scented a lesser rose
than the magnificence of you.
Brendan.
