LONELY AND BLUE
LONELY AND BLUE
I miss you tonight
The moon isn’t bright,
The stars are without their allure.
I’m lonesome and sad,
And to that I will add
There’s nothing but you will me cure.
The stars twinkle not,
I miss you a lot,
I’m overly cheerless with woe,
And dismal and blue,
And I fret over you,
And nothing’s around with a glow.
Gloomy and joyless my days,
And boring and lonely my ways.
And wholly the reason is you,
So baby return
For lonely I yearn,
And get mighty mournful and blue.
