Passing Stranger

Strangers we met on a far away land,
You gave me no name, instead gave me your hand.
I could not refuse, as I was afraid.
To live as a shell through meaningless days.

My heart did suprise me, my soul was alight.
The passion returned, from its tedious fight.
I was open and honest, I had lost all the care,
That you might trick me, and leave me bare.

I knew nothing of you, not a smile nor a fear.
Only that you were kinder than some who were near.
You opened a door that had sealed itself shut,
Allowing me once more to feel the embrace of love.

So on the day that you did go, once again I was alone.
Wishing you well on your way, this time i was not so afraid.
I felt afresh, so free, so changed ready to finally face the day.
