To Never Forget
Sunshine kisses tickle me softly,
As I wait in the winters rain.
Memories of simple laughter,
Stir the loving thoughts again.
For a moment I will forget them,
As the day does pass slow.
Then sweetly I am reminded,
As I watch the graceful snow.
A whisper is carried,
On a warm scented breeze.
Telling me secrets,
That tug at my knees.
I could wish to forget them,
I could chase them away.
But there part of my being.
With me they shall stay.
The people are gone,
The buildings are torn.
The days are all past,
But forever adored.
Even though some are cruel,
As they taunt my misfortune.
The rest are so loving,
They stop me from falling.
So true to my word,
I will keep them near.
The memories of a love.
That I grew to hold dear.

Hi Rosie
I was following along nicely with this poem and then it took a left turn that I wasn't quite ready for.
