Dipsophobia

Dipsophobia

Never did I think twice
to raise my arm and drink.
Never did I worry
just how far I'd sink.

I went to the bottom
of every bottle,
always empty to the last drop.

Cause when I start
one’s to many,
at a thousand I can’t stop.

This thirst of mine
is here to stay,
always in my head.

I must remember
fools rush in,
where angles fear to tread.

So for today
I stay away,
temptations I don’t need.

A healthy fear
to unplug the jug,
this suggestion I must heed.
