free choice

i was born a sinner
in this i had no say
if i want to live in sin
a choice i have today

there is one part of my life
no power from within
can save me from the hold it has
to win i must given in

to some this sounds like foolishness
how can you win by quitting

it’s not a choice i have today
was hard in my admitting

worn like a suit yes tailor made
though absent for the fitting

i wear it well and don’t fight back
a knockout without hitting

i don’t believe God has a plan
that i’m forced to follow
agenda made from high above
this i just can’t swallow

i have free choice now in my life
Adam and Eve has shown me
the difference from a beast and man
is leaving apples on a tree
