Free Choice

I was born a sinner
in this I had no say.
If I want to live in sin
a choice I have today.

There is one part of my life
no power from within,
can save me from the hold it has,
to win I must given in.

To some this sounds like foolishness.
How can you win by quitting?
It’s not a choice I have today,
was hard in my admitting.

Worn like a suit, yes tailor made
though absent for the fitting.
I wear it well and don’t fight back,
a knockout without hitting.

I don’t believe God has a plan
that I'm forced to follow.
Agenda made from high above,
this I just can’t swallow.

I have free choice now in my life,
Adam and Eve has shown me.
The difference from a beast and man
is leaving apples on a tree.
