higher power

most can relate
with a belief
to that which can’t be seen

then there are some
not in the know
who made their front lawn green

is it a way of looking
not seeing plain as day
that monkey’s are among us
and man returns to clay

absences of a believing
imagination in their brain
or lack of understanding
Nostradamus’s quatrain

stand in the sun
feel its warmth
fill your lungs with air

no where else
in the cosmos
treats you with such care

as for me i do have faith
in Him and his only Son
my higher power i call God
hears when my day is done
