In Search of a Pearl

The slightest irritation
can aggravate my life.
Bringing cause for anger,
resentments, pain and strife.

Pondering occasions,
on how they do unfold.
It’s not the mass vibrations,
more or less the load.

Please tell me how an oyster
made of shell and slime,
can produce a product,
with beauty for all time?

Now if this mere crustacean
can handle bits of sand,
as easily as waiting,
making it so grand.

So it is my own actions
of me looking aimlessly,
thru the grains and sands of time
preventing me to see.

That it’s pearls of wisdom
that I should string in-line.
Reflecting all their brilliance
allowing me to shine.

I like this one

I like your transition from questioning the concrete then moving to something more substantial for yourself. The words you chose and how you strung them together added a lot for me the reader, I was able to gain something. Thanks. I also think oysters are good to eat, except I'm not to fond of them raw. raskin

i like this one... the way you presented the oyster's struggle to come up with precious pearl...(like the way human struggles for something precious)... little wonderings and the connections to human...claire
