a leap of faith

there comes a time in ones life
when daily events cause
our inner feelings to be questioned
and opening of new doors

there is someone knocking
you want to stand and walk to it
but you hesitate in completing
and ponder your intentions a bit

emotions swell inside you
the possibilities’ come flooding in
where you are today
is because of where you’ve been

the safety of complacency
it can be called a rut
asking is a change required
will I make the cut

a leap of faith is on your menu
a plate served to your table
will you do what you really want
thinking hard if you are able

belief in not how it happens
what path to be traversed
having faith that it will happen
when done you’ll be immersed

you’re not alone in this performance
encouragement is all around you
it’s me knocking on your doorstep
i’m the one who wants you
