Missing her ...
Missing her
The silence in my head is deafening,
my thoughts don’t have a use.
Sadness has come to roost with me
I miss my beloved muse.
Far from me she spends her day
with people I do not know.
She sends her love but oh so briefly,
these feeling are hard to tow.
Each day I count as it drags by,
a minute just like an hour.
My ambition is like milk left out
and has begun to sour.
My memories serve me just for now,
times spent with my baby dearest.
My heart as always skips a beat
each time that she is nearest.
So I wait till she comes back
from places north and west.
I’m missing her with baited breath
till end of this inflicted quest.
