A promise to my Baby Doll

To hold you when you’re shaking,
to hold you when you’re weak.
To hold you when you’re swaying,
to hold you when it’s bleak.

To stand by you when others run,
to stand by you when all is lost.
To stand by you in thick and thin,
to stand by you at all cost.

To pick you up when your head is down,
to keep you from going under.
To raise you when you’re feeling low,
to never steal your thunder.

A promise to my baby doll
you’ll never be alone.
As long as I have life in me
our bond will be like stone.
