temporary till made permanent
watch the smoke swirl and spread
it seems to be aloof
like words said in a concert hall
left behind no proof
inspirations to influence
actions to be taken
feelings of those i affect
intentions can be mistaken
all of my wants and needs
as cream they start to rise
temporary covetness when churned
permanently solidifies
i must beware of what i want
cause thoughts brought to fruition
that come from my reality
will ruin my ambition
temporary is all i have
my very life i include
permanent is hard to get
vain possession does elude
so i ask why even try
to gather and aquire
earthly things, flesh and bone
burn in Gehenna’s fire
the only thing that’s permanent
is found not in this place
the quest bequeathed by us all
finding rapture in His grace

Indeed!
Everything we have and own is merely 'temporal' The aquisitions of wealth, fame, etc have not great bearing in the scheme of things! Though....I guess we feel we somehow need them.

Oh my Dear Deborah
We are just dust in the wind, needing not what we want, and wanting not we we need, and rarely getting what we deserve.
IT Is True
indeed it is true!...though life can be truly exciting, and indeed meaningful. It just needs to capture us.

have you been able to cast your eyes over my "needs and wants" ?
I Have Read This Sir
and re-read it, along with your other recent pieces. Though It is not clear, what your needs and wants are. Permanance? impossible, as we know. The past- that can not be, recaptured.
Desires?
Well, it is an interesting thing indeed!

"needs and wants" is a topic that arose between my heart’s desire and myself some time ago. I found that in order for us to come to terms with each other our “needs and wants” had to be understood, if not just to satisfy but also fulfill. I was asked, “ my dear, what are your needs and wants?” with much a pondering soul searching pause I answered my darling Susan with … “needs and wants”
OOOH
Well that is wonderful, beautiful. We need to question these things, and we need to know the answers to them.
